About The Webinar

Nerve testing is an important part of the clinicians physical assessment. Standard neural integrity testing include dermatomal, myotomal and reflex testing, which focus specifically on large diameter nerve fibres such as A-beta and A-alhpa fibers. However, an increasing body of research has identified the involvement of small-diameter nerve fiber in peripheral neuropathies. Thereofre, standard neural integrity testing is therfore insufficient for assessing the symptoms associated with SFN. This webinar explores the neurophysiological and anatomical relevance of testing smallfibers and shares practical approaches to implementing sensory testing for small-fibers in the clinic.
