About The Webinar

This webinar looks at the benefits of work and the individual costs of worklessness. Work rehabilitation is discussed and an example of exemplary work rehabilitation is given. A range of tools to help health care professionals identify and address obstacles to return to work, which are referred to as 'Blue flags', are presented from the perspective of the both individual and the employer. A stepped approach to return to work is suggested and the AHP assessment of fitness for work report is introduced as a tool to aid communication with the GP or employer (with consent). The work rehabilitation approach is illustrated with a case study of a manual worker with recurrent low back pain. There are hyperlinks within the webinar presentation to key documents that will allow the viewer to investigate the subject in more depth.
