About The Webinar

This session will review the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and the impact that they have on individuals and on society. We will consider what musculoskeletal (MSK) health means and what threatens MSK health across the life course. We will identify some of the modifiable threats to MSK health and will we look at some of the evidence around the impact of these modifiable risk factors on the occurrence of MSDs.

We’ll then move on to think about MSDs as a public health issue and we will explore the role f the physiotherapist in this context. Several key practical resources will be highlighted and discussed, this will enable us to reflect on current practice and areas for improvement in terms of embedding prevention into our own practice. We will finish by reflecting on our own learning, identifying further learning needs and thinking about next steps.
