About The Webinar

This webinar will identify the physical and psychosocial changes caused by neurological impairment. The challenges and barriers associated with exercise engagement for people with neurological changes will be considered. Research which has explored the benefits of exercise for people with a neurological condition will be summarised and I will explore ways in which these findings can be translated into physiotherapy practice. The in-patient and out-patient settings will be considered and specific exercises and activities will be considered to broaden your range of intervention strategies. The use of outcome measurement, specifically the High Level Mobility Assessment Tool (HiMAT) is introduced. An example from my own practice is integrated to illustrate how outcome measurement and a combined therapeutic approach can optimise outcomes for people with neurological changes.
