About The Webinar

People with long-term chronic autoimmune conditions could derive substantial health benefits by increasing physical activity. People living with these conditions have symptoms that can often reduce their ability to keep active and work and negatively impact their quality of life. Exercise has been shown to be a cost-effective strategy in the management of autoimmune conditions with significant physiological and psychological benefits. Exercise is one of the four pillars of practice within the physiotherapy profession and there is an opportunity for physiotherapists to play a greater role in rehabilitation for people with long-term chronic autoimmune conditions. This webinar will use the autoimmune condition of antiphospholipid syndrome (APS) to consider a variety of aspects of exercising with autoimmune conditions relevant to physiotherapy, including patients’ perspectives on exercise and physical activity
