About The Webinar

This one hour webinar is aims to offer both injectors and non injection clinicians an update on some of the pertinent issues we should consider regarding the use of injection therapy to manage musculoskeletal disorders. A brief review of the evidence for corticosteroid injections will be presented and how this evidence informs clinical reasoning will be discussed.

The potential side effects and precautions will be presented and time will be spent exploring how these risks should be presented to assist in gaining informed consent from the patient. The use of injection therapy during the COVID-19 pandemic will be examined and the role of injection therapy in the aftermath of managing long waiting lists will be explored.

The evidence for guided vs unguided injections will be offered and the role of emerging injectables such as hyaluronic acid and platelet rich plasma will be introduced.
