About The Webinar

There is overwhelming evidence that active living promotes both mental and physical health, yet we know that approximately one fifth of men and a quarter of women in England are not active enough for good health. People with LTCs or any type of disability are far less likely to be active than the rest of the population. These people are also likely to have many touch-points with health & social care systems.
In this session we will explore how active/inactive our regions are, we will look at how much activity people should aim for and what should be included in this activity. We will explore how some physiotherapy teams have put physical activity at the heart of their practice and have developed innovative collaborations. We will consider some of the barriers and facilitators to promoting activity in clinical settings. Finally we will look at several useful physical activity resources designed for busy clinicians.
