About The Webinar

Physiotherapists and Orthotists/ Podiatrists share a passion for improving the quality of life for patients by optimising their mobility through therapy, exercise, FES, Orthotic provision and more recently the use of exoskeletons. However, sometimes “we” can be like the blind men in the Indian parable who try to identify an “elephant” by touching a single part – it’s a snake (trunk) versus it’s a fan (ears). Physiotherapists “touching” on swing. Orthotists “touching” on stance. This talk provides an overview of Neurological Physiotherapy, FES and exoskeletons and offers a vision of a unified approach to the treatment of foot drop and more complex gait disorders.
